Last Friday, the weather here was a bit strange : after heavy showers (those who tried to watch the Roland Garros men semi finals know what I'm talking about), the weather could not seem to make a decision between cloudy or sunny : sunbeams sometimes striking through heavy dark clouds made a very particular and beautiful light over Paris.
As I had to go rue St Dominique (near Invalides), I took the opporunity to have a walk around (from Varenne to the Musée d'Orsay along the Seine) and take a few pictures.
Invalides, Off the metro at "Varenne" :
Invalides again, on our way to place Vauban :
Guess what, now we are Place Vauban :
Now, turn your head to the left :
Ok, we got lost, we're not at all on our way to rue St Dominique. We'll have to walk around the Invalides to get there :
Another view of the Eiffel Tower :
There we are, this is Rue St Dominique :
Ok, we're done rue St Dominique, now let's go for a walk along the Seine :
Now, turn your head right, you can see the Montparnasse tower :
Pont Alexandre III :
Let's go on the bridge, see what the view is like from there :
From the other side of Pont Alexandre III, the Grand Palais:
As we walk ahead, let's take a look back :
We are getting close to Place de la Concorde, here the Assemblée Nationale :
Feel like going back home ? Back to reality :

We'll have to wait before going back home...
Place de la Concorde :
Let's go back to the left bank. By the way, look at the sun beam on Notre Dame :
Buildings on the left bank :
Musée d'Orsay :
Musée du Louvre :
that's it ! You probably don't realise it, but it's been a long walk, your feet hurt, you are tired, you definitely want to go back home !!
Hope you enjoyed it, and see you later !
